The NMSU Leadership Scholarship

This new scholarship rewards outstanding academic achievement and leadership. A limited number of awards will be awarded on a competitive basis using the same application procedure as the PA Honors Scholarship.

Leadership Scholars receive a generous scholarship to New Mexico State University, worth over $25,000 over four years. They participate in the Honors College at NMSU, taking challenging and captivating courses with other top students. They conduct undergraduate research or undertake creative arts projects. They receive special academic mentoring from the Honors College, New Mexico's first and only Honors College.

The Leadership Scholarship is awarded to new entering freshmen – enrolling directly out of high school – with markedly superior academic and leadership abilities. Leadership is defined broadly and may be demonstrated by involvement in extracurricular activities, community service, student government. Leadership also includes artistic, cultural, and intellectual achievements.

The scholarship is limited to New Mexico High School graduates.
