Welcome to the New Mexico State University Honors College!

The Honors College joins diverse, talented and highly motivated students with creative teachers in small classes, encouraging collaboration, interaction, and personal discovery. By offering a wide range of challenging, interdisciplinary courses along with a variety of extracurricular cultural and educational opportunities, we strive to create an enriched educational environment that fosters active learning. These opportunities, along with close interaction with committed faculty, provide honors students with the intimacy of a small college and the breadth of a major research institution. Because honors students learn to make connections across disciplines and acquire skills they can apply in real life situations, they attain education for life.
