6:00 - 8:30 p.m.

Great Conversations, sponsored by the Honors College at New Mexico State University, is an exciting event that provides scintillating dinner conversation and, at the same time, raises money to fund scholarships for NMSU's honors students. Great Conversations is a unique event in Southern New Mexico featuring prominent community leaders and NMSU professors hosting conversations on diverse, exciting and stimulating topics. The event also increases public awareness about the important cultural and intellectual role that NMSU plays in the city of Las Cruces and the state of New Mexico.

The evening is arranged much like a dinner party with Great Conversations as its focus. Tables are set to seat ten, and a different conversation topic is assigned to each table in advance. Each table has a leader, either an Honors Faculty Member or a prominent member of the community with special expertise on the topic. A buffet dinner will be enjoyed.

Topics such as: Global Warming, the Middle East, Economic Development, Sustainable Energy, Stem Cell Research, Art, Culture and International Understanding, Tourism in New Mexico, Psychology of Marketing, Music Industry in America, and Collecting Antiques will be among the many interesting topics to choose from.

Dress is casual, so come as you are and enjoy an evening of dinner and conversation.

Food may be filling, but good company and conversation will keep you at the table hungering for more...
