Investing in the Honors College

Jill Grammer

A Message from the Assistant Dean

Hello! Thank you for your interest in the New Mexico State University Honors College; the only honors college in the State of New Mexico! As the Assistant Dean for External Relations, I have many exciting opportunities working with this new college.

Giving to the Honors College – Increasing the number of student scholarships will be our top priority this year. Funding for more National Merit Scholars, President's Associates Scholars, in conjunction with the PA Board, Leadership Awards and Crimson Scholars will be driving our efforts.

Our focus will be to build an annual giving program to fund current needs and to build our endowment fund to serve generations of honor students to come. With your help, the Honors College International Research Scholarship will quickly be endowed at $125,000. Marcia Mundt was last year's recipient. Click here to read about her exciting time in Bolivia.

Many of you will remember how grateful you and your parents were when a scholarship was awarded to you. Think about how much it meant to be able to buy those expensive textbooks because of the generosity of others, or how great it was to be able to concentrate on your studies instead of having to work while attending NMSU.

Giving to the Honors College means investing in exceptionally talented students and helping them achieve their full potential. With President's Associates Scholars numbering fifty this fall, and more than 2,200 Crimson Scholars, it is indeed an exciting time to be associated with the Honors College.

I invite you to partner with us by making a generous gift today!

With Aggie Pride,

Jill D. Grammer
Assistant Dean
