Meet our Ambassadors!

Amanda Pando:

Hi, my name is Amanda Pando.  I am a junior double majoring in Family and Child Science and Psychology.  I am a member of the Association of Family and Consumer Sciences, the fundraising chair for Phi Eta Sigma, and a Student Assistant in the Honors College office.  I am so excited to share all that the Honors College offers with other students!

Celeste Manriquez:

I was born and raised in Las Cruces, New Mexico. I currently work part-time as a Behavior Technician with children on the Autism spectrum. My goal is to obtain a bachelor’s in nursing, then continue my education and become a Physician’s Assistant. I am always challenging myself to further my education and learn new skills that I can utilize in my future endeavors.

Ellyssia DeLayne Forbes:

My name is Ellyssia Forbes, and I’m currently a senior majoring in Biology and minoring in Human Biology, Microbiology, and Molecular Biology! I first joined the Honors Ambassador team two years ago because of my personal desire to reach students and (hopefully) help ease their transition into college while also helping them find meaningful opportunities for academic growth and development within the Honors community, and I look forward to another year of service!”

Hazel Galloso:

I am currently an undergraduate student in the college of business, pursuing a Bachelor of Accountancy with a minor in information systems. I like to be involved in school and take on challenges to better myself. Besides being an ambassador, I am also part of the Honor Society of Collegiate Scholars, and I am continually attending as many school activities as possible.

Katie Calentine:

My name is Katie Calentine and I am a junior studying Genetics and Biotechnology with minors in Biochemistry and Human Biology. In addition to being an Honors College Ambassador, I am a peer mentor for TRIO, Vice President of New Member Education for Delta Zeta, and have participated in the Honors College debate team. I am super excited to be an ambassador because the Honors College has offered me so many opportunities and I cannot wait to share all of the awesome things that can be accomplished in the Honors College with my peers!
