This will be my third year at NMSU. I am from a small village called Tijeras, New Mexico and am studying Community and Counseling Psychology. I love to read, go on adventures, explore, and be with good company. I am involved in the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and Campus Crusade for Christ (Cru).
I would love to explore Europe, because I feel that it has so many things to offer: adventure, atmosphere, history, and great food. My favorite quote is “Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong” 1 Corinthians 12:9-10
My favorite thing about the Honors College is how small the class sizes are. I really enjoy actually getting to know my professor and speaking with them one-on-one. The little kitchen where you can spend your “in between time” is also great. I’m also a sucker for old things, so I love the history behind the building. I would recommend the honors program because it is a great program that helps you endure, be motivated, and work hard.
