The DAAD funds multiple programs for undergraduate study, research, and internships in Germany. Most of them do not require German-language skills. Undergraduates can choose among scholarships funding study, senior thesis research and/or internships in Germany (requires affiliation with German host institution); a DAAD Study Scholarship for a year of independent study or a full master’s degree program at a German university; the RISE summer internship program for students fields of biology, chemistry, physics, earth sciences and engineering; and funding for summer courses broad range of three- to four-week summer courses at German universities which focus mainly on German language and literary, cultural, political and economic aspects of modern and contemporary Germany.
