Why undergraduate research?

Defined as "an inquiry or investigation conducted by an undergraduate student that makes an original intellectual or creative contribution to the discipline" by the Council for Undergraduate Research, a national nonprofit, undergraduate research and creative activity ignites passion and engages students early on in their education. You can read more about why undergraduate research and creative activity is important in a number of journals and newssources, including the following link from US News.
