Highly competitive. The Truman Scholarship is a national scholarship for college juniors interested in any area of public policy who want to pursue a career in public service. One of the major components of the application is a 500-word policy proposal that delves deeply into your field of study. Roughly 60 Truman Scholars are chosen annually.
