Dr. Glenn Fetzer (Ph.D. CUNY Graduate School) has been Department Head of Languages and Linguistics and Professor of French at NMSU since 2012, publishing on 20th and 21st Century French and Maghrebin poets and border literature. Currently, he is working on the creative work of French expression of the Egyptian activist, Doria Shafik, and also studies the work of Tunisian journalist Tounès Thabet, with a special interest in stylistics, enunciation, and the linguistics – literary connection. He is the President-Elect of the New Mexico Organization of Language Educators (NMOLE) and is on the Board of Directors of the New Mexico Humanities Council.
