Dr. Tracey Miller-Tomlinson directs the Center for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity, founded in 2021 to help students find pathways into research and creative scholarship and opportunities to share their work with the university community. Dr. Miller-Tomlinson joined the faculty in English at New Mexico State University in 2002 after completing her M.A. at Oxford as a Marshall Scholar and Ph.D. at Yale. Her primary research interests lie in the literature and culture of the early modern period, from 1500-1700, with an emphasis on developing ideas about race, gender, and the nation. In addition to directing the Center for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity, she teaches Honors courses on The World of the Renaissance and Shakespeare on Film and supervises Honors researchers on topics in early modern literature and drama.
